Giuseppe Cugnata is a PhD candidate in Political Science and Sociology at the Scuola Normale Superiore and member of the Center of Social Movement Studies (COSMOS). He holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from University La Sapienza of Rome and an MA in International Studies from Roma Tre University.

Giuseppe is interested in social movements and political ecology. His current research focuses on climate protests in France and Italy. Specifically, it examines the relations between individual ecological practices and the collective action of protesters.

Giuseppe is a member of the research collective Quantité Critique.
