Protest for a future: una ricerca sugli scioperi per il clima

Le proteste di #FridaysForFuture hanno mobilitato milioni di persone in tutto il mondo dal marzo 2019. In una serie di scioperi studenteschi, una nuova generazione ha preso la parola, determinando una svolta storica nell’attivismo contro il riscaldamento globale. Questa ondata di mobilitazione è unica per tattica, portata globale e capacità di aggregare giovani e giovanissimi. La copertura mediatica di queste proteste e degli incontri politici nazionali e internazionali che coinvolgono l’icona del movimento, Greta Thunberg, mostra un livello di attenzione globale che nessun precedente movimento giovanile ha mai ricevuto. Un nuovo movimento per la giustizia climatica sta emergendo.
Un gruppo di ricercatori delle università di tutta Europa ha organizzato una protest survey degli scioperi globali per il clima del 15 marzo e 20-27 settembre. I ricercatori della Scuola Normale Superiore presentano i primi risultati di questa ricerca confrontandosi con Luigi Pellizzoni, sociologo dell’ambiente, e con i ragazzi e le ragazze di FridaysForFuture Firenze.
